It’s the Holiday Season (draft)

It’s that time of year again. December has settled in, strings of bright, twinkling lights are now illuminating various buildings, streets, trees, and more. Aromas of hot chocolate, spiced lattes, peppermint, and cinnamon waft through the air. Shiny, glittery decorations fill empty spaces. That’s, right, it’s the holiday season once more. Families plan their schedules and children hum various carols and hymns. Students are busy studying for finals, eager for the break to arrive.

The holiday season is truly a wonderful time of year, and means something different to each person. Some are excited to spend time with their families, while others anticipate the festivities the season brings. With a myriad of holidays following Thanksgiving, people are eager to celebrate and spend time with loved ones.

Holidays such as Chanukah, Kwanzaa, St. Nicholas Day, Advent season, Christmas, and New Years unite families, friends, and communities year after year.
